Application for Adjunct Faculty Position
The following information and documents are required for teaching in the Atlantic Region.
1. A letter of intent, stating the courses you would like to teach and your teaching site preferences. Your letter should summarize your qualifications for teaching each course requested. For each course requested, certification requires academic courses work and professional work experience in the particular subject matter area.
2. A curriculum vitae highlighting your qualifications to teach in the area requested, as well as your education, work experience, teaching experience, accomplishments, publications, etc.
3. A Troy University Application for Employment – Professional Staff. The application is attached in Adobe Acrobat format, allowing you to complete the application on your computer.
4. Official Transcripts from all of your undergraduate and graduate schools. A form in MS Word is attached for your use. Information on where to send the transcripts is on the form.
5. Department of Justice Form I-9 – Complete the data. Certification will be accomplished in the Troy University office by one of the Associate Directors. The form is in Adobe Acrobat format. (Not immediately required – submit with employment contract)
6. W-4 – Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate. The form is in Adobe Acrobat format. (Not immediately required – submit with employment contract)
7. Form VA-4 – Employee’s Virginia Income Tax Withholding exemption Certificate. The form is in Adobe Acrobat format. (Not immediately required – submit with employment contract)
