Below are the Proctoring Policy requirements for your review

Policy Requirements
The policy requires the student to use one of the following three options:

(1) Individually purchase and use the Securexam Remote Proctor (SERP) device;

Remote proctor device*

This is a piece of electronic equipment that you plug into your computer. The device verifies your identity so you can access your exam and makes an audio-visual recording while you take it. It can be purchased for $165 on the http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/vb_buy.php?ACTION=top&FVCUSNO=35720 where you order books.

The remote proctor is a one-time cost, as opposed to other proctoring services which typically charge a fee per exam. It requires a software download and certain computer specifications. For more information, visit our http://troy.blackboard.com/bbcswebdav/institution/eCampus/Ed%20Tech/RP/student.html

If you purchased the remote proctor device and need assistance with installing the device or accessing your exam, please submit a help ticket at http://helpdesk.troy.edu and one of our support staff will contact you shortly.

(2) Use an approved third party certified commercial testing center;

ProctorU online service*
ProctorU is a company that offers live internet proctoring via webcam. You create an account with ProctorU and reserve a timeslot for your exam. When you log back into the site for your exam appointment, a proctor makes a connection with your computer and supervises you while you take your test.
ProctorU charges $25 for a 2-hour exam. Additional fees exist for longer exams and appointments scheduled less than four days ahead of time. You need a webcam with a microphone and a good internet connection to use ProctorU. You may purchase a webcam on MBS or at any other retail store, or you can use one you already own. Please watch the demonstration video and visit www.proctoru.com/troy for more information

(3) Use an approved Military Education Office testing office; or

Students with extenuating circumstances restricting them from complying with one of the three options can contact the eTROY Assistant Director for Testing ( Barbara Sanders bsanders@troy.edu) for assistance.
