Little Creek Amphibious Base Access-Gate Closings:
The Pass and ID office at Boone Clinic is closed permanently. The new pass office at the 3 Gate is now open. Access to Boone Clinic is from Amphibious base Drive only.
- New Gate 3 is open. Old Gate 3 becomes Gate 2 Open Mon.-Fri. 5AM-8AM only.
- Jan. 4: Gate 5 closes for reconstruction for approximately 9 months.
- Jan.: Gate 4 reopens
- Restrictions for New Gate 3 and 4: (During peak hours of 11AM-1PM and 3PM-5PM)
- Gate 4- No right turn to Shore Drive when leaving the base.
- Gate 3- No left turn to Shore Drive when leaving the base.
- Do not use housing areas as a traffic cut though.
Directions to Classrooms at Little Creek Amphibious Base:
From I 64, exit at Northhampton Blvd. Travel North toward Wesleyan Dr. Turn left onto Diamond Springs Road. Turn right onto Shore Dr. Gates 4
Building ACU-4—Assault Craft Unit 4: Enter Little Creek Amphibious Base at Gate 5 (Shore Dr. and Independence Blvd.). Turn left at the 2nd light onto Gator Blvd (McDonalds sits on the left corner). Turn right on Helicopter Rd. and proceed approx. 2/5 of a mile. Take a left on 11th St. and continue for another 2/5 of a mile until you reach the ACU-4 gate sentry. You will be directed to enter the compound. Parking is provided on a space available basis.
Building 3504: Enter Little Creek Amphibious Base at Gate 5 (Shore Dr. and Independence Blvd.). Turn left at the 2nd light onto Gator Blvd (McDonalds sits on the left corner). Go past the athletic fields and gym, look for the first 3 story building on your left. Parking is behind the building, and the entrance from the parking lot is at the center of the building. (Room 344 is on the 3rd deck, Gator Blvd side of the Bldg)
Building 3890: Enter Little Creek Amphibious Base at Gate 5 (Shore Dr. and Independence Blvd.). Turn left at the 2nd light onto Gator Blvd (McDonalds sits on the left corner). Continue on Gator Blvd, the road will veer to the right past the fire station, until you come to stop sign. Continue straight through on Gator Blvd. until the road ends (approximately 2 miles). When the road ends make a right onto Signal Pt. Rd. The parking lot and the building (Port Ops Bldg. # 3890) are on the immediate right. Use the side door, the class is on the first floor, the 2nd door on your right—Rm. 114 (Training Room)
Base Access for Civilians:
As soon as you have registered for classes, contact the Little Creek rep at (757) 460-2736 or email rludwig@troy.edu and ask to be put on the roster. Rosters will be submitted to security each Thursday during registration and as needed after registration. Allow two business days after submission of the roster before going to the LCAB Pass and ID office to obtain a pass that will be good for the duration of the term. Business hours at the pass office are M-F 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you do not contact the Little Creek rep. to request to be put on a roster, your name will not be submitted to the pass office.
Bring a copy of a driver's license, proof of insurance, registration and Virginia State Inspection receipt. To help ensure minimal difficulties in obtaining your pass, please go to the Pass and ID office early in the Term. (Students taking weekend classes that do not start until several weeks into the term should also plan to obtain their pass during the first two weeks of the term.) Please feel free to contact the Little Creek Rep. to confirm that your name has been submitted.
