Student Orientation
Welcome to the New Student Orientation Tool

New students are required to complete an "in person" orientation with a site representative prior to enrolling. This "on-line" orientation session is the next step. It reinforces the discussions with your site representative and provides you with all of the essential information to succeed in your graduate program. The links at the left are organized by topic as a reference guide. Click on the word "Next" to provide you with step by step instructions on everything you need to know to arrive at your first class fully prepared. This includes comprehensive information on planning your degree program, how to secure financial aid, and all the "paperwork" that is required as a Troy University student.

The links at the bottom of the page contain tutorials that will assist you in developing the skills required for graduate work. Proficiency is required in writing papers, preparing presentations, statistical analysis using SPSS and Excel, and in conducting library research.

To complete your "on-line" new student orientation click on the word Next. Upon completion of this orientation complete the New Student Orientation form found at the end of the tutorial.
