Comprehensive Examination Instructions
1. Be sure that you know the exam start time and are familiar with the directions to the comprehensive exam test site; directions and exam start time will be obtained when you apply for the exam. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the exam start time when proctor reads the exam instructions.
2. All exam responses must be typed in Microsoft Word and saved on the diskettes that are provided by Troy University. If you run out of scratch paper or have a faulty diskette, please obtain additional from the proctors. (Do not write answers on the exam questions pages.)
3. Do not bring any diskettes, notes or other materials to the examination room. As indicated in paragraph 1 above all exam materials will be provided by the proctor.
4. Number and code each page in the upper right corner. (You will find your code number on the label on the front left side of your envelope.) Do not write your name on the answer pages.
5. Type your Social Security number on the top center of the first page only.
6. Write your code number on the diskette label.
7. Make sure that your Microsoft Word document answers are double spaced.
8. SAVE OFTEN – The AutoSave default for Word is every 10 minutes. It is recommended that you do not rely solely on this feature but manually save (ex: after each paragraph) on a regular basis.
9. You may mark/highlight on your case study, however, do not highlight on your answer pages.
10. Answer the appropriate questions on your examination to the very best of your ability. (Do not ask the proctor questions pertaining to the exam itself, only questions pertaining to exam procedure will be answered.)
11. Six hours are allotted to complete the exam. You may schedule your own breaks; however, you may not leave the building.
Upon completing the exam:
1. Print your exam.
2. Check over the printout to ensure that all pages printed.
3. Place all items back into the test envelope (do not staple or fold your exam). No scratch paper should be disposed. Fold it in half and put it in the test envelope.
4. If your mailing address is different than the label on the front of your exam envelope, please line through and make the needed changes to the address label.
5. Return the envelope to the test proctor.
You will be notified of your exam results by mail. The grading process will take a minimum of four to six weeks.

DIRECTIONS TO BUILDING W143 AT THE NORFOLK NAVAL BASE –
From Hampton Blvd, enter at Gate 2 and proceed to the first major street on your left, which is Morris Street. Make a left turn onto Morris St. until it dead ends onto Decatur (the street in front of the Piers). Take a right on Decatur, go one block and look for Building W143 - on your right.
• The entrance to the building is in the center and faces Pier 3. There is a small sign "Fleet Learning
Resource Center." There are two doors to enter the building - use the one on the left.
• Upon entering the building, take an immediate left, take the first right, and go through the blue door
Once through the blue door take a right and go toward the elevators. The entrance to the Fleet
Learning Center is on the right side of the elevators. Go to Classroom 2.
DIRECTIONS TO FT. MYER -
From 395 North
Take exit 8A, Route 27 Washington Blvd.
Go past 2 exits for Columbia Pike.
Take the next exit (after Baileys Crossroads) to Ft. Myer, Hatfield Gate
(Sign on 27 says Ft. Myer ONLY).
*Immediately after entering main gate, turn left onto Sheridan Avenue
Continue on Sheridan passing the Fitness Center (left), Library (right), and the Old Guard (left); continue straight until road ends (should see Fire House in front of you).
Bear right onto Jackson Avenue; you should see the Post Office to your left.
Make immediate left onto Forrest Circle.
The Education Center is located in building 219, the brick building on the right after you pass the Post Office. Troy University office is Room 118.
Troy University classes are generally held in Building 230 or 232, across the street from the Education Center or in building 404. To reach building 404 after coming through the gate continue straight until the stop sign, turn left and follow this road until you see the Bowling Alley on your left, you pass it and you will see a large sign on the left next to a bus stop identifying the Testing Facility. This is building 404.Parking is across the street from the building. Check your term schedule or contact your Troy University Representative to confirm building and room number.
From 395 South
Take exit 8A, Route 27 Washington Blvd.
Stay in your left lane at fork on ramp
Go past 2 exits for Columbia Pike
Take the next exit (up ramp) to Ft. Myer Hatfield Gate
Follow directions as outlined above from (*)
